The project is an introspective journey and adventure that tells the story of a couple that travels up to Oregon and down highway 101 along the coast. Along the way Finale Grand bought records in the towns he visited. A healthy stack of Blue Note and Impulse originals and all kinds of moody jazz artifacts. This pile of blues would become the source material for this project, both literally and influentially speaking.

This album documents some major transitions in Finale's life, both personally and musically. He approaches these songs with a new sense of restraint and maturity, venturing into new territories of minimalism and ambient environments. The lo-fi textures capture the landscapes of the rugged northwest coast and the ethereal nature of the morning haze and dense forests, as well as describing the dynamic landscape of relationships and love. The outcome is a hypnotic quest which provides the option to listen intensely, or let it fade into the background, as you and yours travel down new roads and vast stretches of highway, heading to where you're going.
